Following a significant reduction in falls: Baselland Cantonal Hospital implements QUMEA on a broad scale.
Baselland Cantonal Hospital (KSBL) is further expanding its use of QUMEA’s digital mobility monitoring system, thereby sending a clear signal for sustainable patient safety. From 2026, the solution will be rolled out to additional wards at the Liestal and Bruderholz sites.
KSBL and QUMEA have been working together effectively since 2022: over the past three years, fall-related accidents have been significantly reduced. At the same time, nursing staff benefit from noticeable support in their demanding day-to-day work.
Cornelius-Monroe Huber, Chief Nursing Officer at KSBL, emphasises the significance of the decision: “Over the past three years, we have achieved a significant reduction in fall-related accidents. This not only increases safety for patients, but also for our employees. It is particularly important to us that this safety is ensured with dignity – without the use of cameras.”
We are delighted that KSBL has placed its trust in us and that we will be able to support patient safety even more broadly in the future.
