Today, the company announces the recruitment of Livia Holm as the Account Director Nordics. “We are very excited to welcome Livia to our team. Her expertise from one of Europe’s most successful growth companies in digital health is invaluable. She has a nuanced understanding of the healthcare system and its dynamics, which is crucial for navigating the regulatory complexity associated with medical technology products and artificial intelligence in the sector.” – Micha Kämpfer, Vice President Nordics, QUMEA
Livia Holm assumes the role of Account Director Nordics with the goal of further strengthening QUMEA’s presence and successes in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland and Finland.
“QUMEA has an impressive product with incredibly strong results that tangibly improves patient safety and reduces workload for healthcare professionals here and now. Eight percent of hospital injuries are due to falls. With QUMEA’s support, 7 out of 10 falls can be avoided, which of course is an incredible value add in terms of reduced suffering and resources. I look forward to contributing to the adoption of these smart solutions in the Nordics.”
QUMEA’s system uses AI algorithms to interpret signals from a radar sensor that monitors the patient’s body movements in real-time, enabling healthcare professionals to detect and prevent critical events such as falls. The radar-based technology cannot record identifying patient data, ensuring compliance with all data protection requirements.
QUMEA is currently used in over 80 hospitals, psychiatric clinics and long-term care facilities in Europe and Australia and was tested in Sweden in 2023. Evaluations from Sahlgrenska University Hospital and Södra Älvsborgs Hospital show a 67 percent reduction in the number of falls.
